WLC-EAP Offers Mindfulness Videos for Employees

​Mindfulness is not just the latest fad or simply a stress reduction technique. It is the practice of maintaining nonjudgmental awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis. Mindfulness is a practice that aids in stress reduction, but research has demonstrated that it also enhances focus on activities, increases self-awareness and listening skills, improves physical health, and offers several other significant personal and professional benefits.

Work/Life Connections – EAP has produced a series of videos featuring Linda Manning, PhD, from the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt. In these brief but effective videos, Dr. Manning provides an overview of what mindfulness is and guides you through a few basic mindfulness techniques. Watch the videos to see how mindfulness may help you.

Work/Life Connections – EAP also encourages Vanderbilt faculty and staff to visit the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt’s website for more information on their innovative services and programs aimed to care for the body, mind, and spirit.
