    Help faculty/staff learn their health risks; have programs and services to reduce those risks; provide tools to help faculty/staff become wise health care users.

    Faculty, staff and their families.

  • What do your programs offer?

    Programs and services to help faculty and staff learn their individual health risks, lifestyle improvement program/services to help reduce identified health risks, and services to support a culture of wellness.

  • Where is Health Plus within the organization?

    Health Plus is one of the departments within Health and Wellness.

  • How does Health Plus support the organization?

    Research shows that health promotion programs: reduce absenteeism; increase productivity; reduce health care, short-term disability, and workers compensation costs and claims; improve presenteeism; and promote recruitment and retention.

  • What awards have you won?

    Health Plus has been awarded the C. Everett Koop National Health Award, the Gold and Platinum Fit-Friendly Awards given by the American Heart Association, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine's Corporate Health Achievement Award (along with the other Health and Wellness programs), the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health Shining Star Award, Mayor's Workplace Challenge - Health Gold, and the National Business Group on Health's 2015 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles Gold Award (along with other Health and Wellness programs).

  • Is there a cost for any of your programs and services?

    There are no costs for Health Plus programs and services, as they are provided as a benefit.

  • Do you offer programs and services within departments?

    Yes. Health Plus staff is available to provide departmental programs and services. Also, departments can receive tool kits for providing their own programs. For more information, contact Health Plus.
