February is National Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. You can greatly reduce your risk through a healthy lifestyle. Health Plus encourages you to take action to reduce your risk for heart disease. Join in a variety of fun and informative events and programs with Count On Your Heart.

Know Your Numbers

Throughout February have your blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index checked at Know Your Numbers events at on and off campus locations. View​ the schedule. Participate during the month of February to be entered into a drawing to win one of five $50 VISA Gift Cards.

Wear Red Day Lunch and Learn

Friday, February 5th, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Light Hall, Room 202

Attend an informative discussion on “Cardiovascular Prevention: A Brief History and Future Directions”. Thomas J. Wang, M.D., director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Physician-in-Chief of the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute will be presenting. Wear red to this event and get a heart-healthy lunch.

Love Your Heart Expo

Thursday, February 25th, 10:30-1:00 pm in Light Hall, North Lobby

Participate in Know Your Numbers and a cholesterol and glucose screening (while supplies last). The Love Your Heart Expo is sponsored by Health Plus and the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute.
