Why do a Health Risk Assessment?
The Health Risk Assessment helps you understand what your health risks are and what you can do to become as healthy as possible. Do it every year to track health changes.

Why should I participate in the Wellness Actions Log?
The Wellness Actions Log helps you focus on healthy actions that will help you maintain or improve your health.

Why should I view the Game Plan for Your Health video?
The Game Plan for Your Health video features personal interviews with Vanderbilt faculty and staff and provides practical ways to take charge of your health. Past topics have included: Five Keys to Financial Health; Using Goal Setting to Get the Results You Want; Being a Wise Healthcare Consumer; Cope Better, Stress Less; Eat, Move, Feel; and Detect and Protect.

What about the money?
The wellness credit is deposited in a Vanderbilt Health Plan Account. It is money set aside to help pay for Vanderbilt Health Plan deductibles and/or coinsurance.

Is it just about the money I can get?
Participating in Go for the Gold is not just about the money. It is about taking a look at your own health risks, taking action to reduce those risks, and controlling out-of-pocket health care expenses.

Can my spouse/same-sex domestic partner participate and what is the purpose?
Yes, your spouse/same-sex domestic partner can complete the Health Risk Assessment. The purpose is to promote good health as a family priority, help control the rising cost of the Vanderbilt health plans, and control the amount we pay for our health care. .
