Getting Started
Faculty and Staff Membership
To start using the Health Plus facility, you must have met the following:
- Obtained a valid Vanderbilt identification (ID) badge
- Completed the yearly Health Risk Assessment
- Be employed with regular full-time or regular part-time status
If you do not have a current Health Risk Assessment you will be asked to complete one prior to admittance. For your convenience, assistance is available at Health Plus during all hours of operation.

Spouse/Same-Sex Domestic Partners and Dependents Membership
Health Plus offers Vanderbilt full-time faculty & staff the opportunity to sponsor their spouse/same-sex domestic partner or dependent (must be covered on Vanderbilt insurance) for membership to the Health Plus facility for a monthly fee of $45.
Eligibility Requirements and Enrollment Procedures for Employee Plus One Program:
- Spouses/Same-sex Domestic Partners or dependents must be covered on Vanderbilt insurance
- They must be 18 years of age or older
- $45 per month through payroll deduction
- Vanderbilt faculty or staff (with Vanderbilt ID) and Employee Plus One member should come together to Health Plus during hours of operation-Monday - Friday 5AM to 9PM and Saturday 8AM to 2PM.
- Faculty or staff member should have their yearly Health Risk Assessment completed. The Employee Plus One member should complete the Health Risk Assessment as well and may be completed at this time.
- Obtain Vanderbilt ID at Sarratt Card office (cost of card is $10)
Fitness Evaluations
Health Plus offers fitness evaluations to part-time and full-time regular Vanderbilt faculty & staff. You will meet with a Health Plus Fitness Associate for a fitness evaluation and receive an exercise program based on your personal goals and needs.The evaluation includes measurements of cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular endurance, and muscular strength, as well as measurements of blood pressure, resting pulse, height and weight, calculating Body Mass Index (BMI) and body composition analysis.
