Go for the Gold Program Overview
Vanderbilt's award winning Go for the Gold program is a comprehensive health promotion program designed to help faculty and staff and their families lead healthier and more productive lives by identifying health risks and taking action to reduce those risks. A wellness credit of up to $240 per year is available to faculty and staff paying for Vanderbilt Health Plan benefits.
Bronze: The Bronze Level consists of one step, the yearly Health Risk Assessment. It will help you understand what your health risks are and what you can do to become as healthy as possible. Complete it yearly to help you track health changes. Steps involved: Complete the Health Risk Assessment to receive a Wellness Credit of $120 applied to your Vanderbilt Health Plan Account in January 2010*.
Silver: The Silver Level consists of two steps. First, complete the yearly Health Risk Assessment to help you understand what your health risks are and what you can do to become as healthy as possible. Next, focus on healthy actions that will help you maintain or improve your health by completing the Wellness Actions Log. Steps involved: Complete the yearly Health Risk Assessment AND the Wellness Actions Log to receive a Wellness Credit of $180 applied to your Vanderbilt Health Plan Account in January 2010*.
Gold: The Gold Level consists of three steps. First, complete the yearly Health Risk Assessment to help you understand what your health risks are and what you can do to become as healthy as possible. Next, focus on healthy actions that will help you maintain or improve your health by completing the Wellness Actions Log. Last, watch the Game Plan for Your Health video, where you will learn ways to be a wise healthcare consumer. Steps involved: Complete the yearly Health Risk Assessment, the Wellness Actions Log, AND the Game Plan for Your Health to receive a Wellness Credit of $240.00 applied to your Vanderbilt Health Plan Account in January 2010*.
