About Vanderbilt Health & Wellness

Health and Wellness is the an award winning umbrella division for 4 programs that provide support for the health and productivity of faculty and staff. There are multiple activities offered 24/7 at all Vanderbilt campuses.

Occupational Health Clinic (OHC) protects faculty and staff health while they are at work through programs to monitor exposure to workplace hazards and treat work-related illness and injury. The OHC also offers an Express Care Clinic for limited non-work related health care needs. OHC provides services at One Hundred Oaks and Williamson County to Vanderbilt employees on those campuses.

Health Plus provides health promotion and prevention services that promote healthy lifestyles 24 hours a day, at home and at work. There is a facility atop Kensington Garage where faculty and staff can relax and work out, take yoga classes, or bowl via the Wii.

Work/Life Connections – EAP (WLC) promotes problem solving and stress resilience through group education and individual counseling. It has services devoted to the special issues encountered by faculty , physicians, and nurses in addition to those provided other staff. WLC administers the Hardship Fund which helps faculty and staff with financial assistance through a fund for small unexpected needs. Critical Stress Management Debriefing for groups following major events is available.

The Child and Family Center is composed of 4 onsite childcare facilities that offer quality early childhood education and a family center that provides help in linking families with resources to meet their needs. The family services coordinator can offer assistance in identifying resources related to summer activities for children of all ages, tutors, eldercare needs, and more.
