  • The Health & Wellness Administrative offices are located in Suite 636 of the Medical Arts Building. The Occupational Health Clinic is located in Suite 640 of the Medical Arts Building. The Express Care Clinic is located in Suite 112 of the Medical Arts Building. Occupational Health Clinic also has space at One Hundred Oaks and in Williamson County to provide services to employees on those campuses. Work/ Life Connections-EAP is located in Suite 018 in the basement of the Medical Arts Building. Health Plus is located atop Kensington Garage at 201 25th Avenue South. There are 4 childcare center locations: the Belcourt site is located at 2140 Belcourt Avenue; the Edgehill site is located at the Stallworth Building off of Edgehill Avenue; the Patterson site is located at 1917 Patterson Street; and the 18th Avenue site is located at 1105 18th Avenue South.

  • Health and Wellness serves the entire University, including the Medical Center.  Therefore, Health and Wellness reports to the Vanderbilt University Division of Administration, which  exists to provide a solid business and facilities infrastructure essential for the University to realize its goals of education, research, and patient care.  To assist in carrying out this mission, our division is guided by four core principles or values: achievement, customer satisfaction, continuous learning, and respect for the individual.

  • Health Plus, along with Occupational Health Clinic, Work-Life Connections, and the Child and Family Center, are the 4 programs within the division of Health and Wellness (See FAQ #1). Health Plus is devoted to promoting healthy lifestyle practices at home and at work.

  • No.  Health and Wellness provides services to all faculty and staff who are employed at Vanderbilt.

  • The Health and Wellness services are a benefit to faculty and staff and offered at no additional charge for services provided directly to them. Services provided to the families of faculty and staff are offered at rates subsidized by the University, such as childcare via the Child and Family Center and health promotion via Health Plus.

  • Vanderbilt Health and Wellness consists of four integrated programs that exist to protect and support the University’s most valuable asset: its faculty and staff. All programming is evaluated on outcomes that further the University mission: education, research, patient care, and community service. Outcomes for programming include employee satisfaction, health care cost control, productivity, compliance, and retention.
